The Good and the Bad

In a world full of 'bad boys', it takes a lot of self control be a 'good girl'...and choose to stay one.

I think that it may be some odd tempting worldly downward spiral that we have to flee from, and bathe in a lot of prayer as well. I've found myself saying the same thing about the difficulty of being a Christian guy in a world full of "bad girls". I think that if both the men and the women within the family of Christ deal with this mutual issue, we should be in prayer for each other more than we probably are as a church. Being a "Stand-Up" Christian can be very difficult in such situations. It often helps me to think about the girl (or in your case, dude) that Jesus would have for me to meet someday, and it helps me to see the disgust in temptation...because I hope that that girl would be strong enough to flee from the same temptation if presented with it. I think that it is great that you can share such a thing that all Christian women certainly deal with. I wish that there was more encouragement between Christian men and women on these matters in general, you know?.....so here comes, from me. Temptation will come in many different forms, and we need to be prayerful so that we can be strong enough to avoid them (mark 14:38). I believe that I speak on behalf of all Christin men when I say that we are all VERY thankful that you have the God Given strength, the Holy Spirit's Conviction, and the continuously molded heart from Lord Jesus that makes you want to be a "good girl"...because at this point, we believe that your kind is rare. I think that it is really cool when Christ providentially gives us topics to pray for, and I think that I might have gotten one by reading your post. I know that I don't pray that often for the general strength and integrity of the women within the Church..and I rarely have the opportunity to be thankful and encouraging to them as well. Thank you for the opportunities to do these things, and thanks as well for listening to the Spirit. Keep strong Christian!

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life (Pr. 4:23).

All those "bad things" that people talk about are just temporary pleasures with a bad aftertaste.

Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way when I was younger.

Fortunately, there is this Jesus guy and He is pretty darn forgiving =)

Dan-I agree. All I can say is that the Bible says that He works all things for the good of those who love Him, and I do.
